After playing games like Magic the Gather ™ for a number of years and amassing a large collection, I grew weary of constantly searching for cards to put in decks. To expedite my deck building process, I began creating my own custom proxy/playtest cards using my own designs applied to real MtG cards. Friends found the cards alluring, interesting, fun, and different. Once I had made a few copies for friends, I decided to share my designs with the world.

Riorik’s Custom Proxies are where a collection of custom designed MtG playtest proxies and other playing cards can be found and purchased. All cards are printed on high-quality blue-core cardstock similar to production cards. All purchases are printed on demand and shipped directly to you from my printing partner in China.

Why China? This particular printer was found to be the best quality printer that I worked with to create my original versions. With high-quality printing, consistent cuts, and access to a variety of cardstock and finishing options, this group was chosen as my preferred printing partner. Sure, it might take a few extra days for orders to arrive from China but the end result is definitely worth the extra wait.
